Scan, convert, edit and share PDFs from your iPhone
PDF Scanner turns the camera into a document scanner and the result into a PDF you can edit: merge and split files, reorder or extract pages, clean up scans with filters, compress before sending, add a watermark or a signature, and pull the text out with on-device recognition. Available for iPhone and iPad.
Questions, bug reports or feedback — email us and a person will reply, usually within two business days:
It helps if you include your device model, iOS version and, for a bug, what you did just before it happened.
On your device only. There is no account and no cloud copy on our side. If you switch phones, move your data with an iCloud backup or a direct device-to-device transfer before deleting the app from the old one.
Open the file in the app, tap the share icon, choose Print, then tap the share icon again in the print preview and choose Save to Files. Save it into PDF Creator → PDFDocuments and it appears in the app.
Lay the page flat, keep the whole sheet inside the frame and avoid a shadow falling across it. Then try the Black & White or High Contrast filter — it usually makes both the scan and the text recognition noticeably cleaner.
Recognition runs on your device and works best on printed text in even light. Handwriting, decorative fonts and photographs of screens are the usual failures. A filter applied before recognising often fixes it.
Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with, then tap Settings → Restore purchase. If that does not help, email us with the order ID from your Apple receipt.
On your iPhone open Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, or long-press the app icon and choose Manage Subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Delete the app. Because nothing is stored on our servers, that removes everything. There is no account to close. Export anything you want to keep first.
