These terms govern your use of PDF Scanner: Editor & Reader for iPhone and iPad (“PDF Scanner”, “the app”), published by Zintex OÜ, Ahtri tn 12, Tallinn 15551, Estonia (“we”). By installing or using the app you agree to them. They apply together with Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
PDF Scanner scans pages with the camera, converts images and documents to PDF, and edits the result — merging, splitting, reordering and extracting pages, applying filters, compressing, adding watermarks and signatures, and recognising text on the device. It is a document tool. It is not a certification authority, a notary or a qualified electronic-signature service, and a signature added in the app does not by itself make a document legally binding anywhere in particular.
You are responsible for what you scan, store and share, and for having the right to do so. Text recognition, filters and compression are automated and imperfect: recognised text can contain errors, and compression reduces image quality. Check the result before relying on it, and never use the app as the only copy of a document that matters to you.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the App Store terms under which you obtained it. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or use it to build a competing product.
Some features require a subscription sold through the App Store at the price shown in the app before you buy. Plans may include weekly, monthly and yearly options; a free trial may be offered on some plans.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Where a free trial is offered, the subscription starts and is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before; any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it. You can restore an active subscription on a new device with Restore purchase in the app's settings.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; we are not able to issue them ourselves.
Everything you scan, import or create belongs to you and stays on your device. We have no access to it and keep no copy. That also means we cannot recover it if you delete the app, reset or lose your device, or if a backup fails. Please keep copies of documents you need.
Do not use the app to forge or falsify documents, to impersonate another person or business, to infringe anyone's copyright or privacy, or to break any law. Do not attempt to disrupt the app or to circumvent its purchase mechanisms.
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free or available at all times, or that scans, conversions or recognised text are accurate or fit for your situation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost or corrupted data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Nothing in them limits the consumer rights you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
