Sign, stamp and send documents from your iPhone
eSignature lets you scan paper documents or import PDFs and images, add your signature, a stamp, text or a watermark, and share the result. You can save signatures and stamps for reuse, keep them in sync across your devices with iCloud, and send a document to someone else to sign in their browser. Available for iPhone and iPad.
Questions, bug reports or feedback — email us and a person will reply, usually within two business days:
It helps if you include your device model, iOS version and, for a bug, what you did just before it happened.
On your device. If iCloud is turned on for the app, your saved signatures, stamps, watermarks and document list are also kept in your own private iCloud storage so they appear on your other devices. We cannot see either. The only exception is a document you choose to send for signing — see below.
Open the document's menu and tap Request signature. The app uploads that PDF and creates a private link. Send the link to the person who should sign; they open it in any browser, type their name, draw their signature and confirm. The signature is placed at the bottom right of the last page, with a line saying who signed and when. You will see the status change to Signed under Signature requests (the signature icon at the top of the main screen), where you can save or share the signed PDF.
30 days, or until it is signed or you cancel it. Anyone who has the link can open the document, so send it only to the person who should sign.
The request, the original and the signed PDF are deleted from our servers automatically 90 days after you sent it. Tap the request and choose Save to my documents to keep the signed copy on your device.
It is a simple electronic signature. Whether that is enough depends on the document and the country. For contracts that legally require a qualified electronic signature or a notary, use a qualified service instead.
Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account and that iCloud is turned on for eSignature in Settings → [your name] → iCloud. Syncing can take a few minutes, and needs an internet connection.
Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with, then tap Settings → Restore purchases in the app. If that does not help, email us with the order ID from your Apple receipt.
On your iPhone open Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, or long-press the app icon and choose Manage Subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Delete the app to remove everything stored on the device; to remove the iCloud copy, delete the app's data in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage. Documents you sent for signing are deleted automatically after 90 days; to delete them sooner, email us and tell us the document title and roughly when you sent it.
