These terms govern your use of the DictAI iPhone app. By using the app you agree to them.
DictAI records a practice speaking session, transcribes it, and produces an automated analysis of your delivery — pace, clarity, filler words, vocal confidence — along with suggestions. The analysis is generated by an AI model. It is an aid to practice, not a professional assessment, and it can be wrong. Do not rely on it for decisions that matter without your own judgement.
The first three session analyses are free. Continued access to full analysis requires DictAI Premium, an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple Account at the price shown in the app before purchase.
The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation of purchase and again at each renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we cannot issue them ourselves.
You keep all rights to what you record. Sessions are stored on your device. To have a session analysed, its transcript and audio are sent to Google's Gemini API and returned as an analysis; see the Privacy Policy for detail. Do not record other people without their consent, and do not record anything you are not permitted to record.
Do not use the app to break the law, to harass anyone, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or overload the service.
The app depends on third-party services — Apple's speech recognition and Google's Gemini API — and can be interrupted or changed when they are. The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
