Effective date: August 16, 2026
DictAI (“the app”, “we”) is a public speaking coach. This policy explains what happens to your data. The short version: the app has no accounts and no server of ours, your sessions live on your device, and the only thing that ever leaves it is the practice recording you choose to have analysed.
Everything the app remembers is stored locally on your iPhone: your onboarding answers, your session history, transcripts, scores and recommendations. We cannot see any of it. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Speech recognition. While you record, iOS transcribes your speech. Depending on your device and language, Apple may process this on the device or on Apple's servers, under Apple's privacy policy.
Session analysis. When you end a session, the transcript and the audio recording of that session are sent to Google's Gemini API to produce your analysis. They are used to answer that one request and are not used to train models. See Google's Gemini API terms.
Purchases. If you subscribe, the purchase is processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier and your subscription status. We never see your payment card details.
No account, no email address, no name. No location, no contacts, no photos, no advertising identifiers, no analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell data, we do not show ads, and we do not build a profile of you. The app requests exactly two permissions — microphone and speech recognition — and uses them only while you are recording a session.
DictAI is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request — your data is in your hands, on your device. If you are in the EU/EEA and have a question about how this works, email us and we will answer.
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
