Sober Snob (“the app”, “we”) is an AI taste guide for non-alcoholic beer. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what your rights are. Short version: we collect only what the product needs, we don't sell your data, and there are no ads.
Account data. Your email address (email sign-in) or your Apple ID token and, if shared, name and email (Sign in with Apple). Used solely for authentication.
Taste data. Your quiz answers, computed taste profile, beer check-ins (thumbs up/down) and tasting notes. Used to generate your recommendations.
Scan photos. Photos you take with the shelf scanner are uploaded to your private storage folder and processed to recognize beer labels. They are visible only to you.
Purchase data. If you subscribe to Pro, purchases are processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat. We never see your payment card details.
What we do NOT collect: precise location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or any data from other apps. No tracking, no ads, no data sales.
We use a small set of infrastructure providers, each processing data only on our instructions:
• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage (hosted in the EU).
• Anthropic — AI processing of scan photos and sommelier chat messages. Content sent to the AI is used to answer your request, not to train models on your personal data.
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• Apple — sign-in and payments.
We keep your data while your account exists. To delete your account and all associated data, email zintex.ou@gmail.com from your sign-up address with the subject “Delete my account”. Deletion is completed within 30 days.
If you are in the EU/EEA (GDPR) or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Email us and we'll make it happen.
Sober Snob is intended for users of legal drinking age in their country (18+/21+). Although the catalog is non-alcoholic (≤0.5% ABV), the app references beer culture and brands.
We'll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
